Matt and his team at IME represent creative, financial, and technology clients who are boldly reshaping the traditional, interactive, and virtual reality entertainment industries.
In the past three years, Matt has served as financier counsel for films with budgets totaling more than $400 million. Matt has served as lead production counsel on behalf of multiple film companies, including most recently, "Mother’s Day" (starring Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Jason Sudeikis, and Kate Hudson, directed by Garry Marshall). Matt also represents some of the most prolific video game developers in the industry, whose games have grossed more than $14 billion in worldwide sales, and set world records with each release. In addition, Matt represents digital talent and social influencers whose channels have collectively generated more than 4 billion views worldwide. Matt is known for brokering and negotiating the first (and still preeminent) YouTube to SVOD deal in history.
Beyond traditional and interactive entertainment, Matt represents clients in the immersive media, entertainment and technology industries, including one of the few VR-designated venture capital funds in existence in the United States, a critically-acclaimed VR production company that was one of the first to premiere VR content at Cannes and Sundance, and two of the world's leading volumetric VR companies.
Matt is inspired by clients who understand that the entertainment industry is in a perpetual state of creative revolution, and who are fearless in their desire to influence how content is created and experienced in passive, interactive, immersive, and intelligent environments. Matt views his role as a protector of his clients’ interests and ambitions, and is guided by honesty, tenacity, and innovation in each relationship and transaction.
